2 roundabouts in Lucas County to be built in 2030
TOLEDO, Ohio — The Lucas County Engineer’s Office said it has secured a federal grant to build two new roundabouts, which are slated for construction in 2030.
The two roundabouts will be placed at Nebraska Avenue and Centennial Road in Springfield Township, and Sylvania Ave and Richfield Center Road in Richfield Township.

Ottawa County bridge set to be replaced
Ottawa County has contracted with R&I Construction, Inc., to replace the bridge on Rocky Ridge Road over Toussaint Creek, between True Road and Toussaint North Road.
The work will require closure of the bridge to traffic from Monday, Aug. 25, through Friday, Oct. 31. A detour route will be posted. Schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change.

These Ohio county engineers are retracing history along the Greenville Treaty Line
The grassy field beside a two-lane highway near Loudonville in north central Ohio is nothing special.
In the distance, an American flag fluttered outside an old, wooden barn. A disc golf basket stood solitary in the sun.
"We're at the Ashland-Knox County line on State Route 3. You can see the county signs there,” Ashland County Engineer Ed Meixner pointed out.
A few feet away, he bent down, brushing grass out of the way to reveal a flat marker about the size of a small dinner plate.
“Greenville Treaty Line 1795,” it reads.

Brookdale Bridge replacement, road closures
Brookdale Bridge will be closed for the next nine months as the Columbiana County Engineer's office works to replace the existing structure. Several surrounding roads will also be detoured during construction.

Roadway development agreement entered into to improve infrastructure around data center location
AMERICAN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WLIO) – Another piece of the puzzle has been put in place for Project BOSC in northern Allen County.
On Tuesday, the Allen County Commissioners approved a roadway development agreement with the Allen County Port Authority and the developer of the new data center set to be located off North Cole Street in American Township. Allen County Engineer Brion Rhodes says the agreement is a proactive step to ensure the infrastructure keeps pace with current and future demands.
