Road construction bids opened

The Highland County Board of Commissioners opened multiple bids for a road reconstruction and resurfacing project on New Market and Prospect roads at its weekly Wednesday morning meeting.

Belmont County bridge closure to impact traffic until October

The Belmont County Engineer's Office will begin replacing the Glenns Run Bridge on County Road 4 starting Aug. 4.

The bridge and road will be fully closed to traffic until the end of October.

County engineer asks for sales tax for roads, bridges

There are 335 bridges in Athens County and Jeff Maiden, the county engineer who oversees those longer than 10 feet, said funding is needed to design and construct roads, bridges and repairs for the next five years.

At his office on Canaanville Road on July 15, Maiden highlighted his 2024 report that he wrote and submitted to the Athens County Board of Commissioners on May 29. He spent about 40 hours working on the report with the department’s staff, but said he could have spent a hundred hours more.

Engineer’s office plans for $865K Elm Road project

WARREN — The Trumbull County Engineer’s Office is planning for an $865,000 intersection improvement project at Elm Road, Reeves Road and Genesee Avenue in 2026 for Warren city and Howland Township.

Washington County Commission meets for Devola updates, discussion with Humane Society

Washington County Engineer Roger Wright provided updates on the Devola Sanitary Sewer Improvements Project for the Washington County Commission during its regular meeting Thursday. The project is expected to be completed in the next 6 months with 39 tanks left to install.

Wright said that they’ve had to make a lot of adjustments throughout the installation process with some tanks being installed up to 125 feet from the residence scheduled for installation.
