[Duplicate] Officials: ‘Painful cuts’ ahead if bill OK’D

Franklin County and central Ohio officials are raising the alarm that a bill introduced at the Ohio Statehouse could dramatically cut local property tax revenue by $427 million and lead to slashed services.

“We understand the frustration right now around property taxes, but we want long-term solutions,” Franklin County Auditor Michael Stinziano told The Dispatch.

Design for Brent Spence Companion Bridge unveiled

On Wednesday, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear unveiled the design of the “state-of-the-art” Brent Spence companion bridge.

The companion bridge is a part of the 8-mile Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Project in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.

Bridges across Trumbull to be tested for load tolerances

WARREN — Six companies have been approved by Trumbull County commissioners to receive contracts to do load ratings on 94 bridges across Trumbull County.

The combined contracts have a value of $233,453.

$24M in Butler County road projects on track; nearly 38 miles of roads being repaved

It’s orange barrel season in Butler County but County Engineer Greg Wilkens said while there will be some minor inconveniences the driving public shouldn’t get too frustrated.

Wilkens is spending roughly $24.4 million this construction season to fix 14 bridges and 22 culverts, repave 37.4 miles of county roads, install a new roundabout and other road maintenance.
